Singed Fingers, Glue Gun & Cop Cars

Only two of these things are related to the other
and it isn't the cop car.
Once upon a time there was a woman eager to start yet another wood project without completing the other two first
. She got her newly purchased glue gun out, plugged it in and placed a glue stick into the reservoir to melt. She waited for a few minutes and then attempted to squeeze a bit of the heated glue out of the nozzle.
But nothing came out. In her infinite wisdom,
, this woman placed the pad of her index and thumb onto the nozzle to test whether it was hot. In her defense, she had pressed her finger to the plastic part of the glue chamber and there was barely any heat.
Of course she burnt herself.
But don't worry, her fingers are feeling much better today.
As you can see from the photo, I had to perform surgery to get the glue out. This required letting the gun cool down, using a screw driver (did I mention the fingers I singed were on my right (dominant) hand?
I need to put it back together, but I'm having a bit of trouble. I'm going to look for videos on the glue gun's website and see if I can't put it back together again. (Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall..)
Oh and part of my dream last night had me riding home in the back of a police cruiser, but don't worry, I didn't do anything!
Honestly, I know it had something to do with getting away from someone.
Any hoozles.... Any mishaps in your world lately?

I have gotten burned by the hot glue before, but not by the nozzle. It smarts for sure!

@ScribbledAdNauseum FYI, to my surprise the Dollar Tree in town is open, and I was there yesterday and spend 20.00 worth! I will go back next week. I should be more measured on that trip.

@snowy22315 Oh wow. They must have built that fast. Is it a bigger dollar tree or a smaller one?

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is a big one. They have used the space from an old Furniture store and may have annexed a former Verizon store and ABC store as well. The only thing was they only had one frozen food case. Maybe they will add another though.

I ran my fingers under cold water then iced them, put neosporin on them and then later aloe vera gel. They never blistered up.

I know that hurt. Yes, I hit my head several times on a door frame while I was cleaning out my mother's closet at my uncle's house.

Ouch! That sounds just like something I'd do.
