Rewatching GOTHAM - a Lot Like Re-reading The Bible

Oh, I know that GOTHAM doesn't "promise me that my creator Loves me & sent himself to Earth to die as a human sacrifice for me," but GOTHAM does remind me that life on Earth will always be the same (but slightly different), That Selena Kyle will always become Catwoman when some guy pushes her out of a window and the cats love her back to life (although it's a slightly different person who pushes her), That there will always be a secret organization planning to destroy Gotham (though they have a slightly different leadership), That Bruce Wayne will never murder on his quest to serve justice (oh, maybe he'll kill several people; but only in self-defense ... he won't kill them if he's rendered them harmless, right?)

It might be a different take on our beloved characters, but they are still the same characters we've come to know and love. Been a while since I've seen Gotham, but I also am not a fan of having to explain the comics to my husband, who's only familiar with the 1960's t.v. series.

It's also kinda like watching DOCTOR WHO, where you start to see 'things happening over-&-over in interesting ways.' Maybe you could watch all the Batman movies with him (not BATMAN FOREVER or BATMAN & ROBIN, but just the Tim Burton ones & then the Christopher Nolan ones
