I Always Forget: Does this Clock-Shift mean DST "Ends" or "Begins"?

Sure, all that matters to most of us is 'how the clock changes' ("Spring Ahead, Fall Back" in most places). But I always forget that Daylight Saving Time is actually A WHOLE SEASON that (in the U.S.) runs from the Second Sunday in March to the First Sunday in November ... important to remember so that you don't think you're "losing" an hour so much as you're "giving it back." (or are we "taking it back" in November?) https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/daylight-saving-time-2021-when-we-change-our-clocks-and-why/ar-BB1euMXs?ocid=uxbndlbing

That really would be confusing. Few more posts were made around the same topic. And many feel that it is not logically beneficial.

Oh, it WAS logically beneficial (back when we worked according to 'when the sun rose & set,' I think). Now it's 'just another tradition that unites our minds,' I guess. Does India set its clocks forward-and/or-back each year?
