Can't feel but be joyous yesterday. For a few hours, my small family was complete again. Home after relentless duty in a hospital with Code Yellow, the Hot Zone full and menacing, my younger daughter slouched on the couch. Snored in no time. But at 5 pm, she willed her self to sit up. She heard Tagalog Mass hymns being sung by a real good choir. The Mass was live from the Vatican. My daughter loves singing. My elder daughter rounded up her chores and sat by the counter. Pope Francis wore pink. A sight for tired eyes. There must be a reason why the pandemia has to happen in time for our commemoration of 500 years of Christianity. Filipinos are a merry people extravagant and lavish. This event would have been hyperbolic in every way. But as we were reminded yesterday, the celebration should be joyous but solemn, the way it should be. The picture is our own Cardinal Chito Tagle thanking Pope Francis for recognizing the devotion of the Filipino to our God under the banner of our Blessed Mother.

You must be proud of your daughters. Younger one being a front line worker. Helping those ravaged by the pandemic. I am not a Christian so I wouldn't know much about what you say.

@eileenleyva I too have two daughters one is married and the other with me yet to be married. Elder one is IT graduate and younger one is commerce graduate with postgraduate management course. She was working with OYO but out of job since pandemic. About Christianity I am aware of basic knowledge but not much. I visited Rome at least 4 times but could not visit Vatican despite booking a tour for that. I missed the tour bus while the tour was in progress. Have got very bad memories of Rome. Full of crooks.

I also was able to watch that mass too. We were a bit late by a few minutes though since it took us some time to get the youtube link for that mass. But we were able to watch the mid part of the mass. It was such a nice feeling to hear our Tagalog songs sang at the Vatican. It felt so solemn and heartwarming.

Elderly friends did send me messages of joy having received Papal blessings online. Can't be more jubilant.

Yes it very true that this year Easter celebration will be different when completed with past celebrations and this is because of the Global pandemic.

The global pandemic is very challenging. Am afraid we still cannot go out for Easter celebration. The number of CoViD-19 cases has soared. The metropolis in on curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, so people will avoid gathering for drinks in the night.
