Which do you prefer to cook on gas or electric?

I've cooked on both and I prefer Electric

I was always used to cooking on my mum's AGA. I not have a duel fuel oven. I really much preger AGAs though, you can't go wrong! (Apart from leaving baked potatoes in there for days!)

I prefer to cook on an electric stove. Gas stoves scare the beejeebers out of me because I saw my ex mother-in-law have to relight hers and have a big poof of flame come out at her! Every time I had to use that gas stove to cook on I'd just about burn everything. I guess I'm just too used to doing it with an electric stove.

I like to cook with gas better. I now have an electric stove and hate it. It is so much harder to clean.

I like to cook food on firewood. Food prepared by using firewood tastes better.

At home we have both: one burner and the oven are electric; the other three burners are on gas.

I want to be a chef & I know most chefs use gas stoves, but to be honest gas stoves TERRIFY me. i'm always scared of gas leaks or scared of blowing up :-/

i like electric better gas i have used and don't like that is what my mother used was gas but i'm always afraid if the pilot light goes out and leaks into the air can harm people it has happened at my mothers house a few times and made them sick. and they can get leaks so i much better prefer the electric.

I prefer cooking on gas.... it is more cheaper than electricity in our part of the world.

I much prefer an electric stove, but I have a gas stove now. Many people in this country cook with wood. I would have no idea how to cook something with wood but I find it fascinating that they are so adept at it.

I prefer to use gas cause electric takes too long to heat up and when it does, it takes too long to cool down, you always have to take the pan off of the burner!

I se both of them, Its depend on Situation.
