Ugly, but it tasted good.

I've been craving pinto beans. I'll eat them whole or refried, but my daughter doesn't want just beans, so I made a batch of my burrito filling. I browned a pound of ground beef, added enough salsa to make it "sloppy" wet, then added enough shredded cheese to change the color of the mixture. But, instead of rolling it in tortillas, I scooped some onto street taco sized tortillas and ate them like tacos. I enjoyed it. My daughter put hers in a bowl and used tortillas to scoop it.
It's really easy to make and can be altered by adding corn, rice or black olives. If you make it wet enough, it can be served as a hot dip for tortilla chips. In fact, that's how I got the idea for burrito filling because it was served at a get together I attended.. They wouldn't give me the recipe, so I winged it. My kids loved it. So did their friends, who came over every time I made it.
Beware, though. If musical fruit makes you toot, expect to backfire after eating this. I'm fairly immune, but the dog isn't. WOWIE!

That looks delicious and good that you and your children enjoy it in your own way.

It's true. We are all individuals when it comes to eating. None of that "you have to do it my way and like what I like our you're not family" that some memberd of my family were known for. The important thing is 1) eating and 2) enjoying your meal.
