Day 226
Promise 691
1 Peter 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Do you feel as though everything you do is for nothing? And everything you do leads to more trouble?
Peter said to rejoice when trouble comes your way, when temptations surround you because it’s only a trial. Every trial increases your faith and ultimately brings God glory.
As Christians, Satan tempts you and tries to cause you grief which makes you feel unworthy of the salvation God gave through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, His Son.
Peter called it a season, meaning it wouldn’t last. Your trials would end, and your faith would increase because you came through the fire and won. Don’t back down but stand firm in your resolve to bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. Praise God no matter what you face and show Satan he has no power over you. You belong to Jesus Christ.
Let’s pray: Father, build my faith so I can withstand the trials Satan brings my way. Help me stand on Your promises and give You glory in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
