A container ship has bunged up the Suez Canal. Along with the Panama Canal, its the worlds most critical seaway. 10% of the worlds trade goes through there.
Did you know that at any one time one third of all container ships have stuff from China in them. Did you also know that the most exported thing in the world is ? RUBBISH. Yes, trash is exported from the west to the far east to be sorted, burnt and burred, 10% of all freight. This is how the west pretends its green and doing its bit to reduce carbon. Because we ( when the U.K were in the E.U) had to landfill as much as 40% of our trash in the European area we simply exported it to avoid huge fines.
So they are desperately trying to re-float the huge ship. The vessels have been getting bigger and bigger and this was always going to happen, clearly not suited to the current channel width. I would put some air bags under it or barrage balloons on the top to lift it up a bit like the cartoon film Big.

The Ever Given, they say, is as huge as the Empire State Building. Some jam, huh.
That means the trash has to go round the horn of Africa. Yay. Let's see what the Somali pirates would do with the UK trash.

@thedevilinme Hunger Games, if I recall right, started in 2008, when the Yemeni were seen running for their lives. The world leaders engaged on a psych war that brought about the ISIS. The despots inevitably become bolder and played god, to the detriment of the people. Most graphic now is Myranmar's HLaing killing his own people, with the approval of China and Russia.

I did read the story of the accident in the Suez Canal which is very scary about the world market problem worldwide.
