Day 230
Promise 695, 696
1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Life has consequences. As children, you learn right from wrong through disciplinary action. It doesn’t take long to know your actions produce pain or pleasure.
Peter told the people their actions produced consequences when they didn’t obey God. Disobedience brought God’s punishment. However, when they obeyed, God would show them mercy.
Matthew 21:42 Jesus said unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever, it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
As Christians, it’s better to obey God and have His mercy and grace on your lives than His punishment. When you do, He promises you will be part of His royal priesthood to praise Him because He brought you out of darkness into His light.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your grace and mercy on my life because I belong to You. Help me praise you daily for all You have done for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Obedience. Obedience. Obedience. It is really so hard to obey when we really have a lot of things in our heads that we think are better than His plans, and then come back later crying -- coz we came to know that He is right and we are wrong. I am just thankful that God is really forgiving in Jesus mighty name this I pray, Amen.

I love His forgiveness. It's strange how we think we know better than He does when it comes to what's best for us. Have a blessed day.
