Recently the NFL has announced that the 21-22 season will be a 17 game season. There was talk of it last season and with a vote, it has been implemented this season. The Superbowl that has been like a dependable holiday will be moved to Feb 13 now instead of the 6th. The season is still expected to start on it's normal Thursday night on September 9th. Regular season will start Sunday, September 12. The final Sunday game is expected to be played January 9th. Each team will only get one bye-week and the preseason will shorten. The Hall of Fame Game still stands as the first game of the season and will not change. ESPN goes into it in a little more detail but these are the major points that I latched on to. There's a lot of technical details and some of it went over my head but this I can do. I'm not sure how I feel about adding the extra week and moving the superbowl. In the end they think that it'll be better and I guess I can get behind that. I really wish they would stop changing stuff though. The changes are getting annoying. Football fans, what do you think about all the changes this week will bring? *picture from google
