A Story Ain't Complete Without A Happy Ending.

A joy to log in again on mylot. It's the activity I had to give up for Holy Week as a form of sacrifice - as in abstaining from things one loves doing very much. It has been a melancholic week for me. Tuned in to the continuing trial over the demise of George Floyd, discovering further from the witnesses and evidences presented how grievous a blow the manner on which he died. Just the same, hoping the trial doesn't go furthermore. As the Scriptures has it - 'if two witnesses attest the same, what they say is true.' Reviewed the Scriptures, specifically the Gospel of our Lord Jesus from the pen of John. The final chapter sort of left me hanging. Ended with this conversation: "21 Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, 'What about him, Lord?' (referring to John) 22 Jesus answered, 'If I want him to stay behind till I come, what does it matter to you? You are to follow me.'" The story ain't complete yet because of the words "till I come." That means we have to wait for the Parousia. Two millenniums has passed since then. The Gospel of our Lord has been vandalized in the most sacrilegious of ways. Man has turned back to his wicked ways. The killer of George Floyd has become the new poster face of Cain. Yet our Lord Jesus uttered "You are to follow me." Whatever the circumstances we find our selves in, we have to remember that command - we have to follow our Lord. The world is grim right now. The plague and sin upon us. Almost an illusion to even say "Happy Easter!" But that is exactly the message of Easter - a hope for a happy ending. Let's wait a little longer for the completion of our story. As in any good story, it ain't complete without a happy ending.

Happy ending is exclusive for those who follow the Will of the Lord. Remember, in the proclamation of the Kingdom parables, our Lord alluded that only the good will enter the gates of heaven.

@kanuck1 Paul was a persecutor of Christians. Augustine was wayward. They are saints.

The path our Lord Jesus has asked us to take is very difficult. Most people would play deaf, instead of listen, when reminded of our Lord's command to bring the Good News to everyone. As if they don't have time for God saying such protestations as 'I don't pray' or 'I'm not religious' or 'I'm busy', etcetera. That's when I feel deeply sorry for our Lord Who bled blood and water for us. I picture His bloodied Face whenever I mutter "Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us." Yet the people couldn't care about that Supreme Sacrifice any longer. Yet you are correct. Our Lord promised to come back again. He will be our happy ending.

@eileenleyva He has so lovingly cared for us, it is the least we can do is recognize the suffering.

Pleasure writing and sharing. Our God is so angry. My daughter lost a patient 29 years old this morning. She performed an emergency CS yesterday to save the baby. The mother was intubated but the lungs sort of solidified. The mutant variant of the virus is scary. And it's upon us. My fb has become an obituary. Ingat.
