Having finished with songs with fruit in the title I was thinking about what else I could possibly entertain you with when I came up with the idea of choosing four songs each time and starting with the alphabet. So this is the frist song starting with the letter A. "Afternoon Delight" is a song from 1976 by The Starland Vocal Band. Even though the song had suggestive lyrics it became a hit. The song was written by Fill Danoff a member of the band and is known for its close harmony.

Did you know that the title for the song came from the happy hour menu at Clyde's restaurant in Georgetown, Washington, DC? My late aunt lived in DC. I also enjoyed Afternoon Delight at Clyde's.
