A lot of marathons on TV lately.

I wonder why television sometimes has a lot of marathons and sometimes there are many old movies. I suppose some of it is seasonal although it also has to do with a cable TV that we have to pay but it is of a very bad quality. I like those forensic shows but all the actors must be grandpas and grandmas now. Once I saw a recent picture of David Caruso (Horatio Caine) and he looked very old. Other atractive actors have aged a lot lately. Of course, I try not to look at myself at the mirror This is one of those thought that are a product of pandemic. Too much time alone.

I love old action series (they come with very good plots and less stupid cheap scenes like many we often see these days). You are right, most of those actors and actresses are quite advance in age, that is, if they are still alive.

I have lately watched movies starring Clint Eastwood who is over 80. Still, he is a wonderful actor.

I agree with you that this pandemic has done more harm than good.

Like that one time I saw a picture of Viggo Mortensen that play Aragorn in Lord of The Rings. Him as Aragon and real life looks really different.

The cable company here has a monopoly, so they do put on the cheapest things over and over.

It is a shame. We have here some programs that do not even belong to our culture.

The stations always put on what it is cheapest to run during the off-months.

That's sad but very true. I think the marathons are hollywood saying 'we have no clue what else to do' given streaming's become so popular and people can bindge-watch almost anything they want.
