Sometime last week I received a noticed from Gcash, a popular payment app here in the Philippines. Apparently their PayPal to Gcash service has been discontinued. I worried for a bit because I was supposed to send money to a friend whose mom recently died of Covid. Their hospital bill went to the roofs and he had to ask people to help them pay for it.
I only cash in at Gcash through my PayPal account. I chose to not link my local bank accounts for personal reasons.
Thankfully the PayPal cash-in service was restored over the weekend, and I got to course some money to my friend's Gcash account. It isn't much but I hope it helps. I'm thankful to Gcash because we can easily send funds to people who need them. Last week my husband sent money to at least 3 people he knew who have lost their loved ones to Covid.

For some reason I could not connect my paypal to my Gcash so I withdraw to my Metrobank, perhaps I should try it again later.

I try to be.
I'm actually going back to freelance writing so I could earn more $ to send to people who might need help. Remdesevir apparently costs a lot. Many people die here because they can't afford to buy medicines.

That's a great news! Though, I haven't tried this method of transferring fund from PayPal. As of now, I am not very active with my article writing activities so I only have a few fund coming in to my PayPal account. I only have Forum Coin and MyLot that pays through PayPal since my current online activities are concentrated on cryptocurrency. But I do use GCash for saving and I have been doing that since last year.
