Where has the time gone?

Posting this before it slips my mind.
Ever hear of the saying, time flies when you're having fun? Well, I don't know about the "having fun p" part. But, time sure seems to be flying by quickly.
I put bedding in the dryer as my husband was coming home, later, I hear the dryer stop. Normally our dryer runs about an hour and a half. So, I thought something might've been wrong. Looked at the time.... it'd been me. I'd gotten caught up in what I'd been doing that an hour and a half had gone by and I hardly noticed.
Ever have days like that? Where you'll start a project, and before you know hours have slipped by?

That's an idiomatic expression which means that time has already gone without knowing especially when you're busy. You're no longer conscious of the time.

I know what It means. I simply phrased it that way, because the past few days seem to slip by and I'm barely aware of anything.

For me time flies when I'm busy, whether "fun" or not.

So can I. In fact i have more times than I care to admit. Hell, today seemed to pass in a blurr, because hubby and I went shopping and got home a little after 5.

Yes always happens to me. It is a rare day that goes slow here.
