Do you ever just totally MUCK up your routine, and in doing so find something new or valuable? I have been blow drying and then subsequently straightening my hair after showering most days for the past....I don't know. Years. A long time. I work afternoons/evenings, so my normal schedule is to work out - break a sweat - jump in the shower - get ready, blow dry hair, and then straighten it and head to work or to whatever I'm doing that day. I have long hair, so it usually takes me about 30 minutes to blow dry my hair. I refuse to let it air dry, because it takes forever and I get cold. And I hate having wet hair. BUT - I bought one of those super absorbent hair towels, and I have been using that. It prboably takes near an hour to towel try and then air dry, but when it does, it is SOFT - and it is..STRAIGHT! I always just assumed my hair was wavy because it is wavy and poofy after blow drying. But, what I have discovered in the last 5 days of not using ANY heat product on my hair - it is actually straight! And silky, now. It DOES take a little bit longer to dry in total than blow drying, but I can get other things done while having the towel on my head. But, I can get other things done while I'm waiting for it to dry. I think this is going to be EXTREMELY beneficial for my hair. My mom's hair started thinning dramatically in her early 40's, and while I have a few years to go...Doesn't hurt to start thinking about this stuff now. I've taken some steps - got rid of super tight pony tail holders, reduced the # of times I curl my hair, attempted to wash less often, started taking both collagen & biotin supplements. Anyway, the point of the story was not actually HAIR itself, but just how we can sometimes have these regimens that we get used to, over time, that we do without thinking, on auto-pilot. Sometimes if we can take a moment to re-evaluate, try something new...We might discover something good! Have you had an experience like this lately? Have you changed a routine and it's changed you for the better?

I heard somewhere wrapping towel over your hair will be a cause for hair fall. So now I don't wrap them in towel. Just let the water drip. I got small puddles behind me sometimes

I can't think of anything right now. How does the new way compare to when you blew it dry and then straightened it?

You know what I have a hairdryer for? In case the locks or the gate freezes shut. I always towel dry my hair.

That's great you found you don't need the hairdryer. Getting up early is beneficial for me. I get a lot done and when finished, have the rest of the day to myself.

I rarely use the dryer for my hair. When I do, it’s just for a few minutes and my hair is fluffy when I’m through.

It is probably better for your hair to not use a dryer.

I have to confess I don't often follow any routine due to my short memory. BUT in regards of drying my hair, I have never used a hairdryer. (Interesting to know that your hair got straighter these days from using a towel).
