somthing that i learn in my life is that when someone being mean to you without reasonable cause its not because of you its them! you cant know the day or life they had. so before you get to argu with them or get offended just stop, say a short sentence and go. you will see that you feel like a winner! let me know what you thinks :)

I was bullied a lot when I was at school just because I didn't fit into the mould they wanted me to fit in. I was small, I had glasses, I was a Christian. They always found something to pick on me for. I wonder what insecurities they had to make them want to do that.

@tahel1 Not with me. I think that's one of the reasons I don't want to go out to work - I'm scared people will pick on me. Or take public transport. Sometimes if I see a group of lads in the street I have to keep my head down til I've passed them. And I think it's why I'm so shy. Oh, I'm better than I used to be but it does still affect me to this day.

We all have the urge to argue, especially if we feel we've been backed into a corner. Or, feel the need to defend ourselves. If we all remember to take that step back, as you've suggested. We might be better off. However, humanity isn't like that. Sometimes things just need to be allowed to happen. Especially if someone else might have struck a nerve. It's okay to aknowledge that.

I agree with what you say, sometime you have to answer back, but there is situation that its not going to help.

I have learned this lesson recently too, you don`t know what the other person has to worry about.

It is always about them if the person is a narcissist even the bad things because then they can go on their favourite trope playing the victim. Yes I have some people that try to provoke me. Thankfully my friend will jump in so they shut up so I dont need to deal with them.

I read once in a very interesting book "Erroneous Zones" by Wayne Dyer. that you are the one who chooses to feel bad about what others think or say about you. So the best thing is to take from people only what makes us feel good, what nourishes us. Bad feelings must be discarded.

Do it, you will not regret it, it really is very, very interesting, it helped me to see things differently, its approach teaches you that it is you who decides how you feel about what happens around you. If you read it, tell me later how it seemed to you.
