April Fools Songs Top 15: Fool in the Rain (#4)

At this point I guess I should assure everyone that my account hasn’t been hacked, nor did a get a blow to the skull from one of the kangaroos yesterday. I really am ranking a song by a band that I don’t like (generally) over a song by my all-time favorite singer. Go figure. #4: Fool in the Rain - Led Zeppelin It was very nice of them to put my favorite Led Zeppelin songs on one 45 for me. The B-side of this single is “Hot Dog,” their attempt a American/country music. (Truthfully, today it sounds more “country” than a lot of the stuff winning CMA awards.) I really do love this song. Lead vocalist Robert Plant said in interviews that this was their attempt to prove that they could do other types of music than the standard hard blues-rock they were famous for.
