Most slum dwellers go through difficult times due to poverty.Lack of job and proper education make most of boys and girls to engage in criminal activities as the last resort to make ends meet.Well wishers and government need to come in impart proper knowledge and help provide for their livelihood

Lots of people grew up in poverty and somehow learned to do better. I think some of them might be using it as an excuse. It is good to help those in need but lifetime support is another story.

Support in education and basic needs does wonders to the slum kids that's what the govt should be providing to make a difference... Also giving the youths more job opportunity with e.g in Kenya their is a program know as kazi Kwa vijana this has really helped youths to finance themselves and provide for their families. Very small deeds make great difference

@Nungari1 I am aware that there are not many job opportunities in Africa. What they need are industries that hire workers so they can earn pay and take care of their families. If they could do that, they could move out of the slums into housing. Hopefully, the internet will help people start a business or earn online as a freelancer. They need programs that give people laptops or phones and access to the internet so they can do that and also learn what is out there to help them with what they need. Yes, small changes can make a big difference. And little kindnesses mean a lot too.

It is all wrong and I am always sorry to see it. It is all the work of evil manipulation and world control keeping people down.

I agree with you. No one wants to see their kids or themselves hungry!
