The scene of an amazing rescue in Panama City Florida

Sherry Vernon who is employed as a nurse in Ohio is grateful that her work of saving a child who was struggling to get back to shore at a beach in Panama City Florida which resulted in Sherry needing help to get back to the shore herself started an idea where 25 strangers formed a human chain to rescue both Sherry and the child back to shore. The incident took place on Wednesday when the waters of the Atlantic Ocean that were rough at that time almost took the life of both the nurse and the child out to sea and likely end their lives by drowning since it is very hard for anyone to stay afloat in the ocean when a strong current is in play. Ryan Stelmacher and his wife admitted that if the same situation of saving the life of anyone would rise again, he and his wife would jump to the same thing in a heartbeat as as well as the nurse who also admitted she would follow suit to save someone's life. The question that bothers me is why did the young girl whose age was not mentioned is what was she doing in the rough ocean and where were her parents or an adult to watch over her.

Many times we wonder where the parents are.

Parents should keep their eyes on their children, especially near water. So glad that child was saved.

@Deepizzaguy Kids are quick, but surely a parent should actually watch their children whenever some dangerous can occur.

Hard to say. Kids can vanish in an instant. You turn your back for one second, and you never know what can happen.

You are right. I have seen those stories on television about kids going missing when the parents look away for a second.

I have that same question. Why would a parent allow his/her child to go into a rough ocean without supervision?

Some of the readers on this site have suggested that the child simply walked away while her parents were not looking.
