An owner who lives in Rainier Washington is grateful that his pet dog barked a lot to get his attention to alert him that his house had caught fire on Friday morning two hours after midnight on Friday. It is likely that either the owner of a concerned neighbor called 911 to report the fire. The intensity of the fire was so huge that 11 firefighters from two firetrucks, three tenders and one fire chief put out the fire that destroyed the home beyond repair. The good news is that both the dog and his owner are safe and sound. Even though the dog and his owner lost their home, I am sure that the American Red Cross and donations from well wishers to assist the dog and his owner to find a temporary home so they can rebuild. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.

I'm glad the dog alerted the owner and both are safe.

Sucks when you lose a home like that, but it does and can happen. Lives can't be easily replaced, but things can.

Advice my former doctor told me and my late mom after he lost his home in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
