I'm trying to get Angel registered as an Emotional Support Animal. So far everything seems to be going okay--I was sent the papers, which my neighbor said that she'd print out for me since my printer doesn't work, and am just waiting on a couple of other things.
I am also hoping that having Angel be my Emotional Support Animal will make it a little easer to get an apartment--hoping, as I've heard stories to the contrary.
I will never know unless I try, I guess...
Do you know anyone with an Emotional Support Animal ?

No, not really. But Emotional support animals don't have public access like service dogs. They are allowed in non-pet approved housing though. And, that's about it. I would be careful about this registering business too, and make sure you're not getting scamed.

My former neighbor's cats were ESAs, and my brother-in-law currently has a dog as his ESA. I didn't think there was a registration process for them... I think all my BIL had to do was have a letter from his doctor saying that having an ESA would benefit him, and if I remember correctly their current landlord didn't even ask to see it when they rented the place they're in now. With my former neighbor, her cats were allowed even though the complex we were in was explicitly pet-free.
