Day 249 Promise 717 1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denies the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he who acknowledges the Son hath the Father also. 24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. When you look at the world around you, you know evil fills every facet of life. You know the end is coming, but you don’t know when. You only hope it will be soon. John told the believers they lived in the last time. He told them they knew it was the last time because of the many people who denied Jesus as Savior and Lord. He said all those who denied Him were antichrists. Only those who acknowledged Jesus as Savior and Lord received God’s promise of eternal life. As Christians, you know the last time began when Jesus ascended into heaven. Satan knows He will return and does his best to bring denial to everyone who will listen to him. You see hatred across the globe. You see wars and hear rumors of wars. Everything Jesus said about the end time is taking place now. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he who shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The end is coming. We don’t know when. We only need to be ready and not deny what God promised all those who believe in Him, eternal life. Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word live in me. Let Your truth fill my life to overflowing. Let Your love permeate my life so people see You and not me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
