And I paid him half the day.
But that´s not how I want it to be so I told him so. If he works here when he has nothing better to do, them I can try to find someone else.
But workers are hard to find. The government is letting them take away their retirement funds, little by little. But for people who live day by day, savings mean nothing and when there´s nothing more and they are old, they will ask the government for help.
In my country a minimum health is insured by the government and nobody goes really hungry as the climate is mild and there are shelters.
So middle class people are many times worse off. Fortunately, as it is in my case, I spend little money. I don´t have the need for many things that the poor people covet and can be very happy with a book.
Nicolás said that he´d come early next week. We will see. If he doesn´t, I´ll say good bye to him.
Are people willing to work with the covid around in your countries?

I hope our little housekeeper doesn't quit now that she has her real estate license. I don't know about the other people and COVID-19. I hope Nicolas can work a full day for you.

I never stopped working since Covid invaded our lives. How much I worked changed, the two homes I cleaned for stopped having me as they began to work from their homes. I am fine with that. I had been thinking of letting them go before covid.
I still work at the church, cleaning and mowing. That is enough for me.
I hope Nicolas shows up on time next week.

As far as I know my nephew and brother in law are working at their jobs at Wal Mart and T J Maxx respectively under rules of wearing a mask and keeping their distance.
