She Is No More

Last late night I relieved a call from a city around 300 kms from our town.The guy at the other end was the son of one of our close relatives. He told me that his mother was no more.
The last time I had met the lady was five years ago.She was a very simple,polite lady.She died at the age of 80.
I asked her son if she was corona positive.He told me that she was not infected .
I had planned to meet her last year,but could not due to lockdown.
Now I can't attend her funeral,because corona is spreading again at a fast pace.All I can do is pray for the departed soul.RIP.

@Shivram59 I hope my granny aged 102 at present is not having serious illnesses. I am sure she doesn't have them.

Sad to know this. Unfortunately the current resurgence has led to a situation where we cannot reach out to the ones we know and take part in their joys and sorrows.
Weekend lockdowns and night curfews are already there in many places once more.
Plus this time the situation is much worse than some of the worst days we saw from Sep to Nov last year.

Yes things will take time to improve. I read that Government has taken steps to augment medical oxygen supply.
Yet the cases continue to rise manifold.

Delhi now has six days lockdown till 26th April.
In some ways, the situation seems to be worse than some of the worst Covid times of the last year.

I'm sorry about your friend. The world is a sad place now. I have been missing you and wanted to find you. This is the last post of yours that I can find and that is April. I am worried, my friend. Hope you did not have Covid or anyone in your family.

@akalinus Thanks.I'm absolutely fine and have taken both doses of vaccine. But I'm very busy now and don't have time to come here.There is an issue between my father and uncle over the partition of property.I'm helping my father to solve the problem.
