Along with “old” there’s “age,” and here’s another song in this two-fold countdown that celebrates my birthday (as well as everyone else who’s made it this far in life). This half of the countdown features songs with “age” in the title. Here’s today’s “age” tune. #9: The Innocent Age - Dan Fogelberg A little foreshadowing: he’ll be on the other countdown, too. In the liner notes, Dan Fogelberg said this title song to his 1981 album was a tribute to Buffalo Springfield. Richie Furay joined Fogelberg on the song, which made it even sweeter for Fogelberg. This wasn’t a hit from the album that gave us songs like “Run for the Roses,” “Leader of the Band,” and “Hard to Say.” It’s one of the gems on the album, however.
