Do people really have love?

The word love may simply mean ability of someone to care about his neighbour .There are many forms of love but the most common we know is the love between a man and a woman. I have seen couples whom they say have real love but when you interact with one partner; they will tell things have been hard I once asked my grandma who stayed with my grandpa until he passed away but she told me things were not so easy yet if people could see them;they could see a lovely couple. Guess what! The grandma told me that people are not what you see in them;and she continued that love only exists in supreme being. Do you also believe that love only exist in the supreme being?

No. Well ... That's where we get into "Our Father IS Love," which I think is His true identity (not 'Hank Williams Jr. in a Toga in the Throne-Room in the Sky'). He (or It, if you like) is the reason-people do things for you or -things just happen to make it good for you. About couples---I've heard (most recently from Monique Marvez) that you 'love' your partner because they inspire you to be a better person ... you don't love "them" as much as you love 'being the person you become when you're with them.'

@mythociate yes I agree God is love, but about couples its another case; for instance there's a rich lady here who married a very poor guy;tell me how did he inspire her to love him

Yup. God is Love. And because man is in the image and likeness of God, man is also love.

@Belexhanns Oh, suffering springs from man's audacity to play God.

I don't think so; then there would be no suffering on earth if man is love

I think there will not be absolute love.love is just a social relationship bewteen people. When a couple are matched in every way, then they can build stable social relationship which can be called 'LOVE".once the balance was broken, they don't match mutually, the love is likely to be gone.

@Belexhanns Love is in everybody's heart, it is like you need to mine like gold. It gets more pure when placed in a meticulous way of handling.

I find the scripture at 1 John 4:19 which provides an interesting answer to your question- it says : ‘ we love because God first loved us’ Love is a learned response.
