This day is celebrated in different months across different states of India. There are some interesting facts about Lord Hanuman which are as follows:- 1) Pawanputra Lord Hanuman was an reincarnation of Lord Shiva and is considered to be an exemplification of strength, devotion and perseverance. 2) The diety once applied sindoor i.e. red colour all over his body for Lord Ram's long life. 3) The name Hanuman actually means "disfigured jaw" in Sanskrit. 4) Although he was a brahmachari, he had his son named Makardhwaja. 5) Once Lord Ram issued a death sentence to Lord Hanuman. 6) Hanuman also created his version of Ramayana, the holy scripture, which was a superior version than that of Valmiki's. 7) Lord Hanuman and Lord Bhima were both brothers. 8) When Lord Rama's time of death was at hand, Lord Hanuman barred Yama from taking him. 9) Lord Hanuman once rejected Goddess Sita's gift. 10) There are 108 names of Lord Hanuman in Sanskrit language.
