Should we entrust?

Our neighbor will have a little celebration for her kid's birthday but it will be held at the place of her husband few kilometers away from our place. The son of my niece was invited but only the kid and they will take the responsibility of bringing all the children invited back and forth. Regardless of how much the number of the attendees, I don't like the idea because I'm not sure if they can put all the children invited under their care. My niece son is only 8 years old and we're not used to letting the child out in distance without the lookout of her mother or anyone else in the family. This time is still very risky to have a close contact with people so no, we're not allowing the kid to join in their celebration.
