Day 261 Promise 729 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he who dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. People testify to many things every day. John testified about Jesus as the Savior of the world. He could do so because He spent time with Jesus and saw first-hand the love God showed the world through His Son. As Christians, you depend on the eyewitness testimony of the apostles who showed that anyone who confessed Jesus as Savior and Lord dwelt in God and God in him. 1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. When God dwells in you, you show God’s love to everyone you meet. Everything you do is from love. Your testimony is borne from the love God showed you when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. You pass on God’s love to others through your testimony, so they too will have a testimony of God’s love when they accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Let’s pray: Father, help me be a living testimony of Your love for me. Let my testimony bring others to You so they too will be a testimony to others of Your great love for them.
