Covid 19 and Public's attitude !

The current situation of Covid is really confusing. It reminds me of a story I read in the famous book 'You Can Win: A Step-by-Step Tool for Top Achievers ( )', by the Author Shiv Khera. Story (Do not recall the exact words) : A man was out on hunting, when he found a wonderful dog which can run over water surface. He took the dog to pet and named it Tomy. He was excited to show this Dog's capability to his friend. So, after some days he called his friend and went to a lake for duck hunting. They waited for the ducks. As he hit the first Duck, he called for Tomy to fetch the duck for him. Tomy as usual ran on the lake surface and fetched back the duck. He was checking the expressions of his friend. To his surprise his friend was having no reaction. Then he voluntarily asked his friend "Did you noticed any thing different in my dog?" His friend replied " YES, I AM FEELING BAD THAT YOUR DOG DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SWIM." Coming back to the reality : Before a year, No one was aware of the COVID. Economy was having its own pace. Politics was having it's own pace. Most of the public was not giving a heck about what's happening around, Who is ruling, what policies are made, How these things are going to help me. Then Covid happened. People started pulling out their money from investments as if world is collapsing. People suddenly started bombarding with questions to governments as if Government is their Physical Bodyguard, and was supposed to Keep them under a virus proof glass shield. One year passed by Lock downs, shut downs, Numbers of infected, Numbers of dead, numbers of recovery. Covid was mostly curtailed. Vaccine was the new discussion in the world. Vaccine politics kick started. Everyone relaxed. Economy started to back in the track. Administrative operations were getting back to track Now again Covid surge happened. Those who pulled money from investments started questioning governments. 1. Why there are less beds ? 2. Why there is a scarcity of Oxygen? 3. Why India sent vaccines to 150 Countries first instead of vaccinating it's own citizen? 4. Why there are less hospitals? 5. Why there are less ambulance? Guys chill. Firstly, These are not Less, Cases are HIGHER than expectation. Secondly, Governments did a lot of Free social security schemes to protect the people with 0 Earning, To treat free all those who get infected with an unknown virus, To increase foreign relations so that we can get more helps if needed. These all needed some expense. And you pulled out the money. (Please do not give me the numbers of donations you did, because a 1000 donation is not equal to your 100000 investments). After that People are expecting that governments should have created plenty of Special hospitals, Beds, Health care associates, within a year, with scarcity of money. Be mature guys. Instead you can really follow the social distancing norms. That is gonna help you and the nations.

Do you live in India? It's bad there isn't it? I'm in England and we are supposed to be relaxing restrictions by June. I lot of people have had vaccines but I still think it's going to be bad if we relax the restrictions too soon.

@Pani2202 I totally agree. But that will only keep me safe. It won't help all those other people who start attending gatherings again and maybe set off another wave of the virus.

Sharon, Yes I am an Indian. Yes the situation is bad. Since last year I was talking to my colleagues, friends about the relaxations. I have the same stand since last year. 'Governments are willingly relaxing the restrictions not because the danger have passed, but because they have a economy to run.' Vaccine or not, Medicine or not, Restrictions or not, Just be strict to your self in social distancing norms.

@sharonelton You know India Has a surge. The Second highest now. With the kind of population, Situation is really escalated. But people are still enjoying parties. Sometimes, Saving yourself is much important. Rest will be taken care of.

Rightly said. If everyone contributes something or just follow precautions, it would be a great help instead of just blaming the government for everything. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day. Take care

This stopped being about a virus a long time ago. It's become a political nightmare if anything.

The friend did not care at all that the dog could walk on water and was more concerned about the fact it has never had the pleasure of having a swim. Issues are really a matter of perspective right?
