Day 264 Promise 732 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Are you an overcomer? Do you look at obstacles and go around, or do you jump over them, push them out of your way, and reduce them to nothing? John told the believers that everyone born of God was an overcomer. Their victory was their faith. He told them when they accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord, they became overcomers. As Christians, you are an overcomer. Your faith in Jesus Christ makes demons flee, causes the gates of Hell to tremble, and forces Satan to retreat in defeat. When Satan comes at you to destroy your faith and take everything from you, use your weapons of warfare to defeat him. He can’t stand against prayer. He cowers at the Word of God on your lips. Praise lays him in the dust. 2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (KJV) You are a child of God. Let Satan know where you stand and he will flee. He has no choice. He cannot stand against the power and blood of Jesus Christ that covers you. Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word be on my lips, Your praise in my mouth, and the Sword of the Spirit in my hands.
