Philippines is divided into quite a few regions and sub-regions..thus having the people in this places come up with their own mother tongue as their identity...but to unite all filipinos we do have our national language, and that's filipino or tagalog... I come from Cebu and our mother tongue is cebuano/bisaya... we say "maayong gabii" as good night here in our place.... and for our national language...we say "magandang gabi"... :P
