It's a vice living with us and among us. It has broken many hearts. Left many widows, widower, orphans, relatives and friends. What can we do to end this. It's slowly consuming and destroying humanity. It has also claimed a friend and posted here by @CarolDM. It's painful, disgusting and unspeakable. We need to have a conversation on this and help spread the message all over. Life is sacred and should not be taken away whatever the case. What is your solution to this? What do you think can be done to help solve this?? WE SHOULD NOT REMAIN SILENT

There's not a lot you can do. Spreading awareness is great, but you just need to reach out to that one person, and remind them, you're there for them and whatever they're going th through isn't that bad.

The problem is often times you don't know who is having these thoughts. Talking about it in general may help someone you didn't even realize needed help.

@CarolDM Not necessarilly. Sometimes just talking to your friends and family. Reminding them you're there if they need to talk. Or being brave enough to ask someone if their okay, is enough to save a life. Talking about in general, is often times more harmful. You don't know what a person might be thinking. So reminding a person that someone cares (even if you have no way of knowing if they need to hear it), can save a life.

@kaylachan All I can do is relate to what happened with my son. I always talked and listened, and he still left.
