Each one of us is accountable for the misery of another.

A powerful and gripping homily i heard recently tells the story of an old woman during the depression period in US History. She stole a loaf of bread. By the time the priest has finished his sermon, I was so moved I decided to check out the story. Priest said it was a true story. Here's what I found. I would have narrated the story my self but I think you would appreciate watching it more.

I truly felt I needed to disseminate this story. No one has to suffer because many of us wasted left-over food. Half the world really does not know how the other half lives.

@eileenleyva you are very right. Personally, we never throw food in my home unless it is spoilt or rotten.

@mildredtabitha Same here. I grew up with a grandma who instilled in our being that throwing food is a mortal sin.

Same feeling when I heard the story. Reminds me of our Lord breaking the Bread so we could all partake in Communion.
