Cinco De Mayo and Columbia’s Connection

Did you know that our little corner of the world was the first to celebrate Cinco De Mayo? They celebrated the Mexican armies victory in the Battle of Puebla three weeks after the victory. There is a lot of interesting and diverse history here, from then to now. The Gold Rush brought many people from many different backgrounds to our little corner of the world.
