D' Corey Johnson who is nine years of age and is a third grader at Bates Elementary in Louisville Kentucky is making waves when during school announcements last month when he sang the Star Spangled Banner with such passion and gusto that his principal Alecia Dunn who recorded the song sent the video to many social media sites. The result is that D' Corey who must have a natural talent for singing since he was born according to his mother Nakia Johnson is proud that her son has a great talent to make his fellow students happy with his singing. My how times have changed when many artists who are either retired or are no longer with us began their musical careers in a church. Could D' Corey be the next singing superstar? Time will tell.

@Deepizzaguy That is great. He should go on American Idol. I am happy for him and I bet his mother is very proud of him. That is great that the Principal saw talent and recorded his singing and sent it to social media sites.

I agree with you since I remember the late Donna Summer began her singing career in church.

It is possible that a talent scout will invite him to be on those shows in the near future.

I know what you mean. He could be the next singing superstar like the artist from the Crooner era.
