What do you think about the numerous job offers available in IT sectorr?

Most of the jobs offered at placements in technical institutes is in IT sector nowadays.
This can be regarded due to the current IT boom.
but after this phase is over, will it not lead to heavy cutdown in the workforce required as compared to the professionals existing in the sector..??
