Thanks to the honesty of the Lucky Stop store in Springfield Massachusetts. Lea Rosa Fiega who for some strange reason threw away a $30 dollar lottery ticket in the trash two months ago, was given a second chance to collect the $1 million dollar cash prize.
Abhi Shah whose family owns the store found the ticket that Lea threw away without scratching it to see if she won anything, decided to scratch the lottery ticket that was on a pile of discarded tickets when Abhi found out that the lottery ticket was worth $1,000,000 dollars before taxes would be taken out by the government.
Abhi could have taken the prize money on the possession rule. However after his dad Maunish Shah had a chat with his relatives in India who told him that they did not want money that did not belong to them and to return the money to the person who bought the ticket.
Abdi went to where Lea worked since she is a regular customer at the store to inform her of the good news.
Lea was very excited that a honest store owner took the advice of his grandparents in India not to take money that does not belong to him.
Lea cried tears of joy after winning the huge prize from the "Diamond Millions" $30 dollar scratch lottery game.
I am sure that she will give the Shah a portion of her lottery winnings as a thank you note for being honest.

I know what you mean since the grandparents of the store owner did not want their relatives to have money that did not belong to them.
