I Received Unexpected News Last Week

I received unexpected news last week, an email from Leslie who seems to have this never ending supply of energy lol, ended up emailing me, announcing that I was one of the nominees for Deacon, honestly I did not even know I was up, but after giving myself time to pray about it. I told Leslie and others I said yes. I believe in July, is when the new Deacons are blessed in, and I can't remember if we vote every year or two, Leslie sent me over the list of responsibilities when she asked me to pray, and there's nothing to difficult, helping set up communion, four times a year, visiting shut it's, bringing communion, checking on Congregants who have been sick, all within my wheelhouse. Well that's the news, it's not official yet, that comes in July, but I believe this will be good.
