As soon as I spotted this book for sale at a car boot sale I knew I had to buy it. I recognised the author straight away from his picture on the front of the book. `A Simples Life' was written by Aleksandr Orlov who is a well known face on British television and advertising . He is also a stuffed toy meerkat. He runs his own website comparethemeercat which is really a fun name for a proper online comparison site. I have used his website in the past and I signed up for some car insurance through them. At the time they were giving away free meerkat stuffed toys to their customers and I managed to collect a few of them. This book tells the story of Aleksandr`s ancestors and their journey to Russia. It also tells us a lot about the great meerkat himself with lots of lovely glossy photographs. The book is cute and funny at the same time.
