Day 288 Promise 757 Revelation 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Everything we do hinges on time. We have schedules for everything, work, appointments, and play. We even have a time for going to bed and waking. The angel told John there would be a time when time would cease to exist. Then everything God promised would find an end. As Christians, you know God will finish what He began. He promised Adam and Eve a Savior to redeem the world. He fulfilled His promise with His Son, Jesus. John 19:30 When Jesus, therefore, had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (KJV) He promised there would be an end to our faith when we live with Him in eternity. We don’t need faith when we have the promise. Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (KJV) There was a beginning. He began time with creation. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (KJV) And there will be an ending. Time will cease and every promise God made to His people will see fulfillment. He will leave nothing undone. Let’s pray: Father, give me patience as I wait for You to fulfill the promises You made to Your people. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
