JR Ward had announced this a few days ago. This contest where all you have to do is turn in the first 25 pages of a story that you are writing and you'll be entered into a contest for a $50,000 book deal.
It's the chance of a lifetime right?!
The chance to have your work read and even possibly get a deal.
The problem is, you are your own worst critic.
Everything that I have written, I find a million and one things wrong with. I have everything printed so that I can write on the paper what I'm doing.
I still haven't decided what I'll turn in but I did decide that I would at least try. I have until June 1st to figure it all out.
It can't just be something that I'm happy with. It has to be something that I am almost finished with or can finish.
I'm willing to take the chance though. I just hope it doesn't screw up my self-confidence since I don't have much of that to begin with lol.

You should not hold yourself for the fear of failure. Go ahead. You will either succeed or fail learning something new. Wishing you luck

I try but I don't have a lot of faith in myself. It's how I've always been and it's okay because my husband has enough faith in me for me to keep going.

Thank you. You should look it up. It's on JR Ward's official facebook page and they'll probably post something else closer to the first.

It feels like one of those situations that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Use that time to do some digging.

I did a little. It's through her current publisher, that's why it was on her facebook page.
