Day 292 Promise 762 Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them. People often say they will rest when they die. While they live, they need to work at whatever their hands find to do. The angel told John to write about the blessing God gives to those who die in Him. Their lives are truly blessed because they labored for God. Their death brings rest and everyone will know the work they did for God. You’ve been to funerals and read obituaries. When people die, you can see and hear about all the good the person did in their life. It’s a matter of public record. As Christians, you know God keeps a record in heaven too about the work you do for Him. He gives perfect rest to everyone who dies in Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:9 There remains, therefore, a rest to the people of God. 10 For he who is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Your work is finished. You can lay your tools down and rest in the full assurance that you did your work well. You will hear the words you long for when you step across the threshold of eternity. Well done. Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Will you enter into God’s rest? Will you hear Him say, Well done, enter into the joy of the Lord? Let’s pray: Father, let my work bring a blessing in my life when I see You face to face.
