Good After All

Dinner was a disaster. I knew it would but kept my mouth shut. It was not the fettuccine that was bad, but was the spaghetti sauce. The roommates bought the wrong spaghetti sauce which was Ragu traditional. The only spaghetti sauce that I like is Mid's.
I guess they were attempting to save money, but c'mon, the stuff makes me gag.
Fortunately, I made the meatballs without the spaghetti sauce separately in the Crock-Pot and kept on WARM for later. Well, I just wolfed down two meatball sandwiches! Darn good! I thought it was going to be a peanut butter and jelly night but I thought wrong!
I am attached to Mid's as it is the closest in tasting to my mother's homemade.
If I make my own sauce, I use wine and garlic in the sauce. Opening up a jar of Mid's though, is simply easier and makes me crave my mama's sauce.

I like to make my own too, but Mid's tastes just like my mother's.

What a mood. My mom's signature spaghetti sauce was a jar of the Old World Traditional Ragu... plus a jarful of water. It's bad enough normally, but that was a watery disaster.
Glad you were able to enjoy the meatballs despite the sauce not working out!
