Yet another travel disappointment / myLot

Our Europe package covered Netherlands and I was hoping to walk in the Tulip Fields in Amsterdam. But to our bad luck we missed the season by just 15 days. They are now grown in Srinagar, Kashmir, India under simulated conditions and believe to be doing very well as can be seen from the phot attached. Have you had any travel disappointments? I have seen the Dutch tulips. A friend from Amsterdam brought the seeds and I grew them in my backyard.

Yes, we wanted to do Tweetsie Railroad on our last trip to North Carolina last winter but they sold out of tickets. It was very cold though so that helped to make it all up to us. The kids would have been too cold out in the weather like that. It was in the low 20's. I am sorry you missed the tulips!

@allknowing Yes and everyone stayed warm and dry. Snow was actually in the forecast.
