Day 297 Promise 767 Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. In every battle, someone leads the charge. In days past, the person to do so led on a horse. John saw heaven opened and a rider on a white horse led the armies of heaven. He went by four names, Faithful and True, Word of God, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. His clothes identified Him as Jesus. When He rode out of heaven, His judgment was swift. As Christians, you wait for the day when you will ride on white horses, clothed in righteousness. It will be a glorious day when you hand over your crowns to Jesus as He rides to war. What crowns will you give Him? The Crown of Life, Crown of Righteousness, Incorruptible Crown, Crown of Glory. 2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also who love his appearing. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them who love him. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away. 1 Corinthians 9:25 And every man who strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. When Jesus rides through the gates of heaven to make war, He will wear the crowns we earned in this life. Those crowns are our reward for faithful service to Jesus Christ. Let’s pray: Father, help me to be faithful to You so that I can give You my crowns when I ride with You as part of Your army when you ride to make war against the Antichrist and his armies. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 4 June 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay
