What Are You Grateful for Today?

Last March, when the pandemic was discovered and things were starting to lock down, I saw a lot of people on my Facebook Page getting really depressed. So I started an evening question with my Facebook friends and asked them what brought them joy or blessed them today. It's been remarkable. I think t has really made people stop and think about the good things in their daily lives, instead of focusing on the negativity about the Coronavirus (Covid 19). There are some people that look for my question daily and always respond. Others have told me they don't comment much, but look for it every day and they like to read what brought others joy. So, today I will share with you what brought me joy. I live in a community in the mountains and we are fortunate to have a lot of wildlife here. I love hummingbirds, and they are just starting to find the flowers on my back deck. I saw one today at lunchtime, and it made me SO happy. Then I took my dog for a daily walk, and she heard a noise and looked to the right. There, across the road, 200 feet from us, was a big black bear just wandering on by! I was so excited. I have only seen bears here a few times. Then on our way home, we drove right by a deer munching on grass on the side of the road. So, those are the 3 things I am grateful for today. Oh, that, and the fact that I joined myLot! So, what are you grateful for today?

@Kouponkaren I'm grateful for everything GOD gave me.Somethings are lacking, which is my responsibility to acquire through efforts.I'm thankful for fulfiiling the basic needs.I'm very very grateful for being born in countryside with nature surrounding.
@Kouponkaren Yes,It is so peaceful when we are with nature. We forget our problems and feel light and relaxed.A walk alone in the midst of beautiful plants, birds flying above our head, the air flowing smoothly, sun shining majestically. Especially during sunset. its such a beautiful scenery that I just forget everything and feel inner peace.

May I ask you something? will a black bear kill a human? I know nothing about them. This week a housing office called me and if I moved I would see wildlife like never before. I am from Ny and that city life although I am a homebody would be missed. I know if there were bears around I would not go out half as much as I do here.

Well, yes, they can kill a person, but in the 40 years this community has been around, there has never been an incident where a bear has killed or even attacked a human. We try really hard to live harmoniously with nature here. And it has been working.

You're not the first person to post a thankful/greatful challenge. But, I still love the concept all the same. It's important to look at the good things, no matter how small, each day. I want to say my cat, for purring and making my day. Being able to somewhat comfortably get out today. Wishing for more rain, but we got some last week.

I’m grateful at least I have one friend. A friend that understands me. Also, I’m healthy no COVID. My weight is slowly decreasing. I’m very thankful that my intuition helps me make better decisions and avoid problems. Also, the aha moments I get for improving my life.
Wow that's amazing. It's good your Facebook friends respond to such posts. Mine don't really interact much or maybe because I am also not active on there that much. As for being grateful, I am happy I can still get to eat 3x a day and sometimes have snacks even if we are still in the midst of a pandemic. It's just sad to think about not being able to travel much or earn enough money like we used to. Ah but then again if we think about it, having a roof over our heads and food to eat is enough to be happy and grateful. God is good all the time.
