I got the email today for my middle ones eligibility meeting. It’s going from to be a Google meet since we are not able to meet with in the school building till the fall. This meeting is to show me abs my husband there finding of if my middle child (8 year old son) has a learning disability or not. If they find that he does have a learning disability we will decide during this meeting what he will be allowed to receive for the next 3 years. This is when his IEP will also be issues if he needs an IEP. The IEP (Independent/ Individual Education Plan) would start and covers the course of 1 school all of his services. That’s only if they say yes he has a learning disability. The meetings seem boring but they are very much need in helping children succeed in school.

I never said I wasn’t going to attend the meeting. Anything that has to do with my children I always go to do and I’m the lead advocate for my children while they learn how to be one for themselves

They are alway some what boring but I’m very much use to them since I had a lot of them growing up. I’ve done a lot in the last three years with my oldest.

They can be very good if done correctly. I hope yours goes well and your middle child gets what he needs.

Not hard to do then correctly. Done it my whole school life, done it for my 10 year old so this should be supper easy. Pretty much sit and listen and talk when it’s parents turn.
