Answer: Because they are more impressed with "clever puns" than with 'the actual definitions of words.' The headline on their fundraising flier says. "FUNDRAISING.IS.CHEESY" (of course referring the large amount of cheese on the pizza that'll help your organization raise some "dough"). Maybe their ad will help change the slang definition to 'lusciously slathered with melted, expertly-seasoned milk-fat,' but so-far 'the slang "cheesy"' still means (according to 'Bing's featured-response' to the search for "cheesy definition slang") "inferior, cheap, inauthentic, overly dramatic or saccharine (yet unconvincing and apparent in its attempts)." Good thing that most of the people looking at the ad will think, "Mmmm cheeeeeezee "
